In a bid to tackle youth unemployment, Mombasa County has begun onboarding training institutions onto the Skills Mtaani platform. The initiative involves registering local vocational training centres, TVETs and private colleges through county education offices to deliver community-based skills training. Governor Abdulswamad Nassir says the programme will offer courses in baking, beauty therapy, carpentry, electrical installation, welding and hairdressing to equip young people with employable skills.
