The Government has intensified efforts to enhance grassroots security, curb drug trafficking and improve access to services. Speaking in Mombasa, Interior PS Raymond Omollo said the county’s role as Kenya’s main gateway via the Port of Mombasa makes its security vital to economic growth, tourism, trade and investment. He directed County Commissioners and NGAO officers to work closely with security agencies and communities to combat organised crime, gangs, violent extremism and rising drug abuse.
