Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has led county leaders in demanding a comprehensive investigation into the mysterious deaths of 14 elephants recorded within just three weeks at the Amboseli National park. The governor described the incident as a major setback to wildlife conservation and the tourism sector, warning that continued losses could threaten the region's elephant population. The Kenya Wildlife Service has collected samples from the carcasses for laboratory analysis to determine the cause of the deaths.
