Kenya's music industry is recording strong growth, with both emerging and established artists attracting more listeners on Spotify. New data released by the streaming platform shows Gen Z listeners are driving the surge, with breakout artists such as Ywaya Tajiri, OnlyMoh and Virusi Mbaya posting remarkable year-on-year growth. Established acts, including Sauti Sol, Nyashinski and Prince Indah, also registered increased streams. Spotify says the trend reflects an expanding music ecosystem, where new talent and veteran musicians continue to thrive side by side.
