Kenya is seeking to strengthen vaccine research and local manufacturing through a partnership with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative. Health CS Aden Duale says the collaboration will focus on vaccine research, clinical trials, technology transfer and workforce development for HIV, TB and emerging infectious diseases. He says the initiative will also support the Kenya BioVax Institute's efforts to boost local production of vaccines and other biological health products.
