The government has dismissed reports that Kenyans are withdrawing funds from the Boma Yangu savings scheme, saying the Affordable Housing Programme continues to record strong growth. Housing Principal Secretary Charles Hinga said cumulative savings had more than doubled from S2.47 billion shillings in May 2025 to 5.47 billion shillings while registered users increased from 1 million to 1.3 million.
