The United Nations is urging governments to invest more in stronger food systems and make healthy food more affordable to help end hunger by 2030. A new UN report shows global hunger fell for the third straight year in 2025. However, about 645 million people, or 7.8 percent of the world's population, still faced hunger. The report also says healthy diets are becoming slightly more affordable, but Africa remains the hardest hit, with two out of every three people unable to afford a healthy diet.
