There is a need for politicians to uphold peace and distance themselves from using young people to cause violence as a way of demonstrating political dominance during the General Election campaigns. This is according to activist Joseph Chipa, who urged politicians in the ODM party not to allow the continued perception that they are responsible for violence whenever elections are held. Instead, he called on them to preach peace, especially among young people who support the party.
