The government says road crashes cost Kenya about five per cent of its GDP every year through healthcare expenses, lost productivity and property damage. Addressing the UN High-Level Meeting on Road Safety, NTSA Director-General Nashon Kondiwa said Kenya is embracing technology, stronger enforcement and nationwide awareness campaigns to reduce road deaths and injuries.
