Mining CS Hassan Joho has defended the proposed Sh2 trillion oil refinery in Lamu, terming it Kenya’s largest prospective foreign investment. Making his defence, he criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for urging investors to avoid the country until President William Ruto leaves office. Joho said securing a major investment would boost confidence and attract more investors to the region, spurring economic growth.
