The government should adopt a comprehensive strategy to tackle drug abuse while cracking down on those involved in the sale and distribution of illegal drugs, according to activist Famau Mohamed. He says authorities should strengthen research to better understand the causes and trends of substance abuse, enabling more effective prevention and treatment programmes. Mohamed also urged law enforcement agencies to intensify efforts against drug traffickers to protect communities from the growing menace.
