The High Court will on the 30th of this month deliver its ruling on an application seeking to stop proposed developments in Upper Imenti Forest pending the hearing and determination of a constitutional petition challenging the projects and amendments to the Forest Conservation and Management Act. The ruling date was set after parties filed their written submissions before the court. In its written submissions, the National Assembly urged the court to dismiss the petitioners' application for conservatory orders, arguing that they had failed to meet the legal threshold for the grant of the orders.
