The Government has activated nationwide preparedness measures ahead of the anticipated El nino season, warning that heavy rains could trigger flooding, landslides and displacement in vulnerable regions. Addressing journalists, government Spokespesperson Isaac Mwaura said a multi-agency response framework bringing together national government ministries, county governments and development partners is already in place.
