Harriet Njenga, the prominent Social Media Manager for Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya, has officially resigned from her position.
Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter for "Salasya TV," the digital platform that documents the MP’s frequent public appearances and constituency projects.
Njenga announced her exit on 11 July 2026, ending a tenure that lasted over a year and a half. She was a key figure in managing the MP’s digital brand, which is known for its high engagement and frequent updates on social media platforms.
Njenga broke the news to her followers through a reflective post on Instagram. She shared a message that focused on the completion of her journey with the Mumias East legislator.
“Every picture tells a story. Every journey has an ending. Today, I close this chapter with gratitude.”
In her caption, she added: “Thank you for the memories. @peter_salasya”. The post was accompanied by a formal resignation letter and a screenshot of a private message sent to the MP.
A Message to the "Boss"
Before sharing the news publicly, Njenga sent a direct message to Peter Salasya to notify him of her decision. The message was professional and brief, expressing her well-wishes for the team.
In the message, she wrote: “Boss, I’d like to officially tender my resignation from my role at Salasya TV, effective today. Thank you for the opportunity and the experience. I wish you and the team all the best.”
The formal letter, dated 11 July 2026, detailed the scope of her work and the timeline of her employment. Njenga joined the team on 20 December 2024. During her time there, she was responsible for content creation and brand representation.
The letter added:
