Kenyan forex trader and CEO George Gatimu has publicly offered to sponsor and mentor digital content creator Eve Mungai in currency trading.
The offer comes amid intense online debate surrounding Mungai’s recent change in digital content direction. The creator has spent the past week trending across social media platforms after sharing controversial resort lifestyle videos.
A New Path in Forex Trading
Taking to his official Facebook page, George Gatimu expressed concern over the public backlash Mungai has faced. He offered an alternative career path to the 26-year-old digital media personality.
"It’s sad to see Kenyans mocking Mungai Eve instead of supporting her."
Gatimu stated that he is ready to invest in her financial education. He promised to guide her through the financial markets to build a new professional brand.
"Mungai Eve, I’ll personally sponsor your Forex journey, mentor you, and help you become the best female Forex trader in Kenya. Let’s build your future together."

The mentorship offer follows days of scrutiny after Mungai moved away from the celebrity interviews that initially made her famous. Critics have openly questioned her new promotional style.
Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria stepped into the discussion, expressing disappointment over the shift. He claimed her recent footage, reminiscent of coastal entertainment scenes, fell below her previous professional standards.
"Ni uchungu sana, kuona mwanadada ambaye content yake ilikuwa inauza. Alikuwa anainterview mpaka viongozi tajika, watu wakubwa kwenye serikali walipita kwenye mikono yake."
Mosiria further claimed that Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang'o, had previously advised Mungai on her career path when she briefly opened a smartphone retail shop. Mosiria even offered to intervene by reaching out to Mungai's former videographer and partner, Director Trevor, to help restore her original brand image.
Industry Backs Creative Freedom
However, the criticism has faced sharp resistance from other industry players who advocate for creative freedom and career diversification.
Content creator Liz Jackson strongly defended Mungai’s right to change her business model. She urged the public and government officials to stop policing the careers of digital entrepreneurs.
"You need to allow content creators or people in the public space to evolve."
Six Years in the Spotlight
Mungai rose to prominence as an entertainment reporter, building a highly influential brand through street interviews over more than half a decade. Statistics show she entered the competitive media space at just 20 years old, clocking six years of continuous operations in the public eye.

"We really need to give people grace to evolve, to do whatever they want with their lives."
Mungai has not yet publicly responded to George Gatimu’s forex mentorship proposal.
