Parents have been urged to play a more active role in safeguarding their children's moral upbringing following concerns raised over the recent Summer Tides Festival in Malindi, Kilifi County. Activist Fauma Mohamed Fauma warned that even a brief lapse in parental supervision can lead to lasting behavioural changes that are difficult to reverse. He called on parents to remain vigilant and closely monitor their children's activities.
