Content creator and entrepreneur Mummie Francie recently appeared on the "Lessons at 30" podcast, hosted by Dr. Ofweneke. She shared the story of how she met her husband, whom she affectionately calls "Mubaba."
The entrepreneur revealed that she identified him as a man of value almost immediately.
The Twenty-Four-Hour Rule
Mummie Francie believes a woman does not need months to evaluate a potential partner. When asked how long it takes to identify a "formidable man," her answer was immediate.
"One day," she stated. She explained that a single day is sufficient to observe essential qualities.

The couple has now been married for 11 years. Mummie Francie noted that the connection was instant because she liked him and he was nice to her.
A Rapid Connection
The pair first began communicating through a WhatsApp group. Mummie Francie admitted she stood him up more than three times before they eventually met in person. When the face-to-face meeting finally occurred on a Sunday, the relationship progressed quickly.
She confirmed that the physical aspect of their relationship happened in less than a day.
"It was less than 12 hours actually, between you meeting him and you giving it up to giving up the cookie to him," the host remarked, which she confirmed. She felt the decision was right because of the "tender love and care" she received.
Identifying a Formidable Man
Mummie Francie’s past experiences influenced her quick judgment. She previously dated several men, including a conductor, a driver, and a soldier. She described some of these past partners as bullies or aggressive. She eventually decided she wanted a partner with different values.
She looked for specific traits to define a "formidable" man. She described her husband as loving, caring, available, and responsible. During their first day together, they spent time watching funny videos and laughing while sober. She valued this calm, collected day full of vibe and fun.

Background and Resilience
Her desire for a stable marriage is rooted in a difficult childhood. She grew up in a "very toxic home" with her parents and siblings. She revealed that she attempted suicide twice as a teenager to get attention so she could attend high school.
These experiences led her to set strict standards for her future husband. She promised herself she would never settle for a man who was violent, irresponsible, or aggressive.
Marriage and Friendship
The couple has faced various challenges, including a miscarriage and periods of instability. Mummie Francie credits their longevity to a strong foundation of friendship. "Friendship," she replied when asked what held them together. She also noted that her husband never tried to change her personality.
