Controversial content creator Andrew Kibe has now come clean to reveal the true motive behind his appearance on Dr Ofweneke’s digital show, Lessons at 30.
The interview was recently scrubbed from the internet following a massive public outcry over disparaging remarks Kibe made regarding the Kibera-bred rapper, Stevo Simple Boy.
While the host, Dr Ofweneke, has since embarked on a journey of reconciliation, Kibe appears to remain defiant. Writing on his X account, the creator suggested that the controversy was not an accident but a calculated move.
"I Tried to Offend Everyone"
In a post shared on 27 June, Kibe addressed the removal of the interview. He made it clear that his goal during the recording was to cause maximum friction.
"I tried as much as possible to offend as many people/groups as possible in that Ofweneke’s podcast that he pulled down. Give them nothing but take away everything!"

The Remarks That Sparked the Fire
The backlash began when Kibe used the platform to attack Stevo Simple Boy’s physical appearance. During the original broadcast, Kibe went as far as suggesting that the musician should not be allowed to father children.
Viewers were particularly incensed by Dr Ofweneke’s reaction during the segment. The host appeared to laugh as Kibe mocked the rapper, leading to accusations that he was complicit in the bullying.
Dr Ofweneke’s Path to Reconciliation
In response to the intense criticism, Dr Ofweneke took the rare step of visiting Stevo Simple Boy in person to offer a face-to-face apology. He described the visit as a test of character and a move rooted in humility.
Addressing his reaction during the interview, Ofweneke claimed his laughter was not a sign of malice.
"The laughter was a reflex action. I actually do regret that as a brother that should not have happened."
"Life is not a beauty contest. Nobody cares about how you look. We all care about the work that you bring in people's lives."
Dr Ofweneke has confirmed that the offending episode has been permanently removed. He has also pledged to support Stevo and his family in the future, even promising to host him on a new episode to allow the artist to tell his own story.
