In a recent appearance on the Lessons at 30 podcast, Andrew KibeAndrew Kibe, a controversial content creator, opened up about his private family life. Speaking with host Dr Ofweneke, the former radio presenter shared rare details about his upbringing and the current state of his relationship with his siblings.
Kibe revealed that he comes from a family of four children. He is the third-born child and the only son. Growing up in a household with three sisters has seemingly influenced his rigid perspective on gender roles and family dynamics.
The Decision to Cut Ties
Despite their shared bloodline, Kibe admitted that he does not maintain a relationship with his female siblings.
“I have siblings, and I’m the third born in a family of 4, with three girls,” he opened up.
When asked directly about his sisters, Kibe’s response was characteristically blunt. He questioned their relevance to his life, stating he generally avoids speaking to women.
Kibe explained that while his family technically has "access" to him—an advantage many others do not have—he requires a significant reason to engage with them.
He noted that any family member approaching him must have a story or a situation serious enough to warrant his involvement.
The Shadow of Past Allegations
The podcaster suggested that his guarded nature regarding family stems from a specific incident of character assassination. He recalled a high-profile controversy from 2022 or 2023 where a woman publicly claimed to be his sister.
The individual accused Kibe of rape, a story that was quickly amplified by prominent Kenyan figures. Kibe told Ofweneke that his own investigations later revealed the woman had been paid to make the false claims.
He cited this "twisted mentality" in modern culture as a primary reason for his lack of trust in others.
A Philosophy of Masculinity
Kibe’s stance on his sisters aligns with the broader "Boy Child" agenda he promotes to his massive digital audience. He currently claims a global following of 2.5 million "truth-seeking men." His content often focuses on dismantling what he describes as the emasculation of men in society.
Since leaving mainstream media outlets like Kiss FM and NRG Radio, Kibe has transitioned into a full-time digital mogul. His YouTube videos consistently attract hundreds of thousands of views, with some reaching over 300,000 views.
While he remains one of the most divisive figures in Kenyan media, Kibe insists his approach is a necessary "wake-up call" for men.
