Activist and philanthropist Eric Omondi was celebrated this Father's Day with a heartfelt message from his ex-partner, Lynne Njihia. Despite their public split earlier last year, the two continue to demonstrate a remarkably close relationship.
Lynne took to social media to praise the comedian, naming him an exemplary father figure for their daughter, Kyla.
Accompanied by the soulful sounds of Luther Vandross’s "Dance With My Father," Lynne shared a touching post dedicated to Omondi. She expressed deep gratitude for his role in their daughter's life, describing him as a constant and loving force.
“HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, BABA TOTO. I’m so grateful that our little girl gets to grow up with the coolest, funniest, most loving, and most present dad. Kyla and I appreciate and cherish you more than words can say,” she captioned a lovely dad-daughter video moment.
She also teased a Father's Day surprise, noting that a "gift is en route" for the activist.
“Thank you for always showing up for us and for being such an amazing father. Your gift is en route.”
Omondi responded to the post with affection, simply referring to the mother and daughter as "My People."

The public display of affection comes just months after the couple officially ended their romantic relationship. In early April 2025, Lynne announced the breakup on Instagram.
She explained that she chose to leave for her own "peace, personal growth, and the future of their daughter."
Omondi soon confirmed the news. He attributed the strain on their relationship to his "demanding schedule" and the "constant public pressures" that come with his high-profile career as an activist and entertainer.
Mixed Signals and Seamless Co-parenting
Since the announcement in April 2025, the duo has frequently sent mixed signals to their followers. While they have not officially confirmed a romantic reconciliation, their public interactions suggest a deep bond.
They are regularly spotted on friendly family outings together, appearing happy and united while spending time with Kyla.
This trend of mutual support has been consistent throughout the year. Omondi previously made headlines for publicly celebrating Lynne on both Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day.

Despite the end of their partnership, the two appear to have mastered the art of seamless co-parenting. They have prioritised their daughter's upbringing over any personal differences that led to their split.
Their ability to navigate a post-breakup dynamic with such grace continues to be a point of interest for fans across Kenya.
