Radio Jambo has reinforced its position as one of Kenya's leading radio stations after emerging as Nairobi's top Swahili-language breakfast broadcaster in the latest GeoPoll Kenya Radio Audience Survey for the first quarter of 2026.
The survey ranked Radio Jambo second overall in Nairobi's breakfast radio market, behind sister station Classic 105, highlighting the station's continued appeal among listeners seeking Swahili-language programming during the morning commute.
"Radio Jambo ranked second overall and retained its position as Nairobi's leading Swahili-language breakfast station with a 16.53 per cent audience share," the survey stated.

According to the report, Radio Jambo recorded a 16.53 per cent share of Nairobi's breakfast audience, placing it ahead of all other Swahili-language competitors in the capital.

The breakfast slot, which runs between 6am and 10am, is widely regarded as one of the most competitive periods in radio broadcasting. It attracts large audiences travelling to work, school and business activities.
Radio Jambo's performance places it comfortably ahead of many stations competing for listeners during the morning hours. The results suggest that the station's blend of news, current affairs, entertainment and audience interaction continues to resonate with urban listeners.

Beyond Nairobi, the station also posted impressive national results. GeoPoll data showed Radio Jambo securing a 10.38 per cent national breakfast audience share, maintaining its position among Kenya's most listened-to radio brands.
The performance underscores the station's broad reach across the country, particularly among Swahili-speaking audiences.
"Radio Jambo recorded a 10.38 per cent national breakfast share," the report noted.
Industry observers attribute the station's success to its consistent programming, relatable content and strong connection with listeners across different regions.
