Popular Kenyan content creator and rapper Diana Marua has opened up about her difficult upbringing after revisiting the estate where she grew up in Komarock Sector 3A, Nairobi.
The emotional visit, which she documented online alongside her sisters Valerie and Mitchy, saw the influencer walk through familiar streets, visit her former primary school, and reflect on the struggles their family faced while growing up.

In a heartfelt caption shared online, Diana admitted that life was not easy during their younger years.
“Growing up, we didn’t have much. Sufficient were the problems of the day,” she wrote.
The mother of three explained that returning to the area brought back memories she had not revisited in years. Together with her sisters, the trio visited spots that reminded them of both hardship and resilience.
Diana recalled how local shopkeepers would allow their family to take goods on credit, carefully recording debts in notebooks until they managed to pay.
The influencer also revisited corridors where she spent time as a student and even joked about places connected to her first boyfriend.

While standing at her former school, Newlight Academy, Diana reflected on how life had changed.
“This is where I attended primary school. I did not expect that one day I would come back here in a Range Rover. To the maths teacher who told me that I would not amount to anything in this life, look at where I am now,” she said.
