The comedian shared his thoughts after a fan questioned why celebrities often appear unwilling to support struggling followers.
“Why is it so hard for celebrities to help people who are still struggling?” the fan asked.

According to Mulamwah, fame does not automatically mean financial stability or peace of mind.
“Sometimes celebs have their own struggles too, mental, financial, etc.,” he wrote.
He also mentioned that some fans reach out primarily for financial support, which can complicate interactions.
Mulamwah added that some celebrities have previously fallen victim to scams by people posing as desperate online.
“Some fans are con artists pretending to be in situations that they are not,” he explained.
The comedian further argued that social media support is often one-sided, with some people ignoring a celebrity’s work but later expecting financial help.
Referencing rapper Khaligraph Jones, Mulamwah quoted a popular saying associated with the rapper:
“Ukipost Fally Ipupa DM Fally Ipupa. Ukipost Mulamwah DM Mulamwah. Vuna mahali unapanda.”
Fans Divided Over Mulamwah’s Remarks
His comments quickly sparked online reactions, with some agreeing with his views while others criticised Kenyan celebrities.
Several users defended Mulamwah, saying celebrities are not obligated to solve people’s financial problems.

Others, however, questioned whether Kenyan celebrities are truly wealthy offline.

“Mafans wangu ni watu wanapenda na wanaogopa Mungu, wakona roho safi,” Khaligraph said.
He added that fan support through streaming music, attending shows, and sharing content has played a major role in his success over the years.
Khaligraph also noted that loyalty in the entertainment industry is never guaranteed, saying he does not take his supporters for granted.
