Kenyan TikToker Peter Kioi has sparked concern online after addressing followers during TikTok Live sessions shortly after leaving a rehabilitation facility where he had been admitted with help from Nairobi County official Geoffrey Mosiria.
Kioi, who has openly spoken about battling alcohol addiction, kidney complications, and liver-related health problems, appeared distressed during the livestreams as he reacted to his discharge from the rehab centre.

Speaking during Kioi’s release, Mosiria explained that the rehabilitation facility decided to discharge the TikToker following an incident that allegedly occurred at the centre.
According to the county official, the management felt uncomfortable continuing to host him after what transpired.
“We have released you in peace; go in peace. What we have agreed with the management is that, following what happened on Friday, they have discharged you to another facility of your choice, or ideally, they will refer you to a higher level,” Mosiria said.
He added that Kioi had been advised to seek further psychiatric assessment at Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital or another specialised facility.
“This is a small level; you can either go to Mathare for psychiatrists to advise you further,” he added.
Mosiria further revealed that the management was no longer comfortable keeping Kioi at the centre following the incident, although he declined to disclose exactly what happened.
“There was an incident that happened here on Friday, and management advised that Kioi be transferred to a facility of his choice or Mathare, and that is what has been done,” he explained.
“The management felt they were uncomfortable with his presence in the facility following what transpired, which I may not be able to talk about on the phone, but we shall discuss it in a different forum on another day.”
Kioi Accuses Mosiria of Using Him for Publicity
After leaving the rehabilitation centre, Kioi held several emotional TikTok Live sessions in which he accused Mosiria of allegedly using his situation to market the facility.
“You will not use me to advertise your company just because Peter Kioi is there,” he said during one livestream.
The TikToker also dismissed suggestions that he should seek treatment at Mathare Hospital, insisting he would never go there despite thanking supporters who had stood by him.
In another worrying moment, Kioi reflected on repeatedly “dropping out” at different stages of his life.
“I dropped out of Sunday School, Class 8, Form 2, Form 4, and now I’ve dropped out of rehab. The next dropout will be dropping out at the mortuary.”

Social media users shared mixed reactions after clips from Kioi’s livestreams circulated online.
Some criticised him for appearing ungrateful after receiving help, while others sympathised with his struggles.

How Kioi Ended Up in Rehab
Kioi recently alarmed followers after appearing intoxicated during a TikTok livestream where he predicted he would not live to see the end of the year.
During the emotional session, he revealed he was battling kidney failure and liver complications and claimed one of his kidneys had already failed.
“I’m very sure this year cannot end before I pass.”
