Several high-profile corruption, embezzlement, and irregular procurement cases have been line up across various specialised anti-corruption courts this week.
Public officials will be fighting to clear their names over the alleged loss of millions of shillings in public funds.
The judicial week kicks off with an asset recovery suit against Gondi Achiro Nobert, trading as Firmline Company, and several others.
Appearing before the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court on Monday and Tuesday, the accused face a civil suit aiming to reclaim public funds belonging to the Kenya School of Law.
The prosecution argues that these funds were systematically embezzled and disguised as legitimate payments for goods and services rendered to the learning institution.
Concurrently on Tuesday, the focus will shift to the Machakos Anti-Corruption Court, where Urbanus Wambua Musyoka, the former Machakos County Executive Committee Member for Urban Planning, will appear alongside six others.
They face a litany of charges, including conflict of interest, unlawful acquisition of public property, and willful failure to comply with procurement laws.
The charges relate to alleged tendering irregularities by the Machakos County Government during the construction of Non-Motorised Transport facilities and parking bays valued at Sh45.4 million.
On Wednesday, the legal battle moves back to Nairobi’s Milimani Anti-Corruption Court for a highly anticipated case involving former Kiambu County Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
The former county boss, alongside Testimony Enterprises and six other co-accused persons, faces a recovery suit involving Sh147 million.
The state contends that this substantial sum arose from a multi-million shilling road construction contract that was awarded through an irregular and severely flawed procurement process.
The scrutiny on the management of constituency funds takes centre stage on Thursday at the Milimani Courts.
John Mburu Mwangi, alongside six co-accused individuals, will defend themselves against charges of conspiracy to commit an offense of corruption, conflict of interest, and unlawful acquisition of public property.

Investigators allege a joint conspiracy between the former senior county assembly officials, a local businessman, and a senior commercial bank officer to embezzle Sh85.2 million belonging to the Homa Bay County Assembly.
At the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court on May 25 and 27, 2026, Governor Hillary Kipng'eno Barchok of Bomet County and two others face charges including conflict of interest, acquisition of proceeds of crime, use of proceeds of crime and money laundering.
Prosecutors allege that Governor Barchok received Sh2.7 million from companies that transacted with the county to the tune of Sh152.3 million between 2019 and 2025.
Also at Milimani on May 25, James Mwangi Gakuya and nine others are set for hearing on charges of conflict of interest.
The case concerns the allocation of KSh 39.8 million by the National Government Embakasi North Constituency Fund Committee to roads built by the Kenya Rural Roads Authority.
On the same day at Milimani, the court will hear a preservation suit involving Loma Karamuta Mubichi and Kenneth Muriithi Ndubi. The suit seeks to preserve Sh6.5 million said to have been irregularly acquired by Mr Karamuta, a Nakuru County public officer, and which is held in a Co-op Unit Trust Investment.
Also on May 25 at the Environment and Land Court, Milimani, Olerai Investments and three others face a recovery suit over property in Buruburu Phase 5.
The suit seeks recovery of land valued at Sh70 million that was reserved for open space and/or a nursery school but is now registered to private individuals.
On May 26 at Milimani Anti-Corruption Court, a suit will be mentioned against Paul Kimani Wamatangi, the governor of Kiambu County, and others.
The suit seeks recovery of Sh813 million alleged to be proceeds of corruption. That same day the court will also mention King Construction and five others in a preservation suit seeking to preserve Sh700 million said to have been illegally acquired by the Kiambu County governor and others between 2017 and 2022 during his service on the Senate Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing.
On May 28 at the Anti-Corruption Court in Kajiado, Esther Chege, an employee of the Kenya Rural Roads Authority, and six others will be in court on charges of conflict of interest, failure to disclose a private interest to one's principal, and unlawful acquisition of public property.
It is alleged that the first accused used her company, Reswan Enterprises Ltd, proxies and close relatives to trade with her employer.
Finally, on May 29 at Milimani Anti-Corruption Court, Dr Shem Odongo Ochuodho, former managing director of the Kenya Pipeline Company, and two others are due to appear on charges of conspiracy to defraud.
The allegations concern an irregular Sh2 billion debt refinancing by Triple A Capital Ltd to KPC that is said to have caused KPC losses exceeding Sh286 million.
