Veteran radio presenter Maina Kageni has finally honoured a KSh 1 million football bet after Arsenal F.C. ended their 22-year wait for the English Premier League title.
Maina personally handed over the cash to businessman Sam Mburu at a light-hearted meetup, captured on video and shared online, shortly after Arsenal were officially confirmed as champions.

Mburu, who is married to Nakuru governor Susan Kihika, proudly wore an Arsenal jersey as he received the money, celebrating the club’s long-awaited league success.
The origins of the wager traced back to earlier in the season. Maina supported his beloved Manchester United F.C., while Mburu confidently predicted that Arsenal would finally reclaim the crown, setting the stage for their later meet-up.

Even while settling the debt, Maina could not resist teasing Arsenal supporters.

Ironically, only months ago, Arteta had admitted the club fell short in its pursuit of silverware after difficult domestic and European campaigns.
