"Your mind is racing with stupid thoughts you need to get done before the baby arrives," she wrote. This mental "to-do list" is a common experience for many expectant mothers.

The Physical Toll

The physical discomfort of the third trimester is a major hurdle for Risper. She described the sensation of the baby putting intense pressure on her bladder. She joked that the baby was "doing kanungo" inside her.

This pressure leads to constant trips to the bathroom. "Oooh and now you have to pee again," she shared. Simple movements like rolling over in bed have also become painful due to hip discomfort.

Parenting in a Foreign Country

Being away from home adds another layer of complexity to Risper's journey. She is currently navigating a new environment in the USA.

Beyond her pregnancy, she is managing the needs of her seven-year-old son. She mentioned the stress of getting him enrolled in a new American school curriculum.

Balancing the needs of an older child while preparing for a newborn in a foreign land is a significant task.

Solidarity Amongst Mothers

Risper’s post quickly became a space for mothers to share their own stories. Media personality and fellow mother Betty Kyallo was one of the first to respond. Kyallo identified with the struggle of frequent urination.

"Woi I remember peeing 96,777 times a night. Ng’ang’ana baby,Betty Kyallo encouraged her.
