Meanwhile, DCI Volleyball Club swept aside Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Volleyball Club 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-15).
Defending champions Kenya Pipeline Volleyball Club also maintained their dominance, recovering from a first-set setback to beat Post Bank 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-19).
Pipeline had on Thursday seen off KDF 3-0 (25-14, 27-25, 28-26).
KDF head coach Jackline Barasa admitted her side had struggled against experienced opponents but remained optimistic of improvement heading into the remaining fixtures.
“We have played against some of the strongest sides in the league and the matches have exposed areas we need to improve on. I am encouraged by how the players fought, especially in the second and third sets against Pipeline,” said Barasa.
“Our challenge has been consistency under pressure, but these games are important for the growth of the team. We now have to correct our mistakes quickly and prepare well for the next assignments.”
Elsewhere, the KVF has postponed the men’s national league matches fixtures earlier scheduled for May 14-17 at Kasarani Indoor Arena.
This is to allow the national men’s team, Wafalme Stars, enough preparation time ahead of the 2026 CAVB African Nations Championship Zone V Qualifiers set for June 1-5 in Kampala.
National Sports Organising Secretary John Oronje said the move was reached after consultations with the national team technical bench as Kenya intensifies preparations for the regional championship.
