Kenyan gospel minister Janet Otieno has shared a poignant update regarding her husband following a recent road accident.
Taking to her official Instagram account, the "Napokea Kwako" singer posted a video documenting his early steps toward recovery and asked her followers for their continued support.
A Call for Prayer
The update began with a direct appeal to her community of fans and fellow believers. Janet revealed that the accident had occurred just a few days prior, leaving her husband in need of medical intervention.
"Please keep my husband, Mr. Otieno in your prayers. He was involved in a road accident a few days ago and is scheduled for surgery this evening,” she posted on May 7.
Writing to her followers, she expressed a firm reliance on her faith during the crisis. She noted that the family was "trusting God for a successful operation, healing and strength through it all."
The Road to Recovery
The video shared by the minister provides an intimate look at Alfred’s current condition. He is currently receiving treatment at Avenue Healthcare (A&E Parklands), as identified by the branding on his hospital attire.,
The footage shows Mr Otieno dressed in a light blue hospital gown, looking visibly weakened by the ordeal. He bears clear signs of physical trauma, including significant swelling and bruising around his lips and lower jaw.

Despite the severity of his condition, the video highlights Alfred's determination to regain his mobility. He was filmed during a transition from his hospital bed to a wheelchair.
The process was slow and deliberate. Otieno used a metal zimmer frame to steady himself while a male nurse in blue scrubs provided constant physical stabilization., A second person, believed to be a family member, also assisted in guiding him.
