Bodaboda rider found murdered, his motorcycle missing after robbery incident in Kilifi

Police in Malindi, Kilifi County launched a manhunt for two suspects linked to the killing of a motorcycle taxi operator in a suspected robbery incident.

The victim, identified as 28-year-old Hamisi Kazungu Tsuma, is reported to have been attacked on the night of April 29 in Furunzi area.

According to police, Tsuma was found outside his home with severe head injuries and bleeding from the mouth and nose.

He was rushed to Malindi General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Before his death, the victim reportedly told relatives that he had been attacked by two customers posing as passengers, who later fled with his motorcycle.

Police officers from Malindi Police Station, accompanied by crime scene investigators, visited and documented the scene.

The body was moved to the Malindi General Hospital mortuary, awaiting postmortem.Authorities have since launched investigations and are pursuing the suspects behind the fatal attack.

Police said they were making efforts to recover the stolen motorcycle.And a woman in her 30s was found dead in a house in Embu North Sub-County under circumstances that police are investigating.

The deceased, identified as Alice Njeri Wambui from Ngariama East in Kirinyaga County, was discovered unresponsive on a bed at a residence in Kibugu area on Thursday morning.

According to the police, the woman had visited her boyfriend at around 1:00am on April 30.

During her stay, she reportedly complained of a stomach ache.
At about 4:00am, the man took her to Kibugu Health Centre where she received treatment before they returned to his house.

Police said the man later left her resting in the house and went to a nearby entertainment spot. Upon returning, he attempted to wake her but found her unresponsive.

The body was moved to Embu Level Five Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Police have launched investigations into the incident.

Meanwhile, police in Matuga Sub-county, Kwale County, are investigating the death of a 40-year-old man whose body was found lying in an open area in Pungu Similani.

The deceased, identified as Moi Mdzomba Kasiko, a resident of Malomani area in Kinango, was discovered.

Police said the body had no visible physical injuries at the time of discovery.

The scene was processed before the body was moved to Kwale Hospital mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
