The Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) is pledging stronger support for government in ongoing implementation of reforms in the education sector.

Officials of KPSA said they were keen to ensure overalll success in the implenentation of the Competency Based Education (CBE) among reforms in the sector.
South Rift region chairmam of the assoiation Alfred Rono said KPSA had strengthened itself with newly elected officials at the natiional level who were ready to work with other stakeholders in the sector.
Ribo has expressed confidence in the ability of the new officials to steer the private education sector toward growth and excellence.
In a statement following the recent elections held during the association’s Annual Conference in Mombasa, Rono praised the election of Rosebella Ojiambo as Chairperson of KPSA  alongside other officials.

“The fresh leadership at KPSA comes at a critical time when the country is implementing key education reforms which require collaboration among all education stakeholders”, said Rono.
Rono,who is also Bomet Private Schools Association chairman, described the new leadership team as experienced and capable, saying their commitment to working closely with the Ministry of Education will play a significant role in improving the quality of education.
“We have full confidence in the new leadership of KPSA. Their vision to collaborate with the government and other stakeholders is exactly what the education sector needs at this time,” said Rono.
He further urged private schools across the South Rift region and beyond to join the association, emphasizing the benefits of unity, representation, and shared growth within the sector.
“Membership in KPSA provides a strong platform for advocacy, capacity building, and engagement with policymakers. I encourage all private schools to register and actively participate in shaping the future of education in our country,” he added.
Rono also called on the new leadership to prioritize inclusivity, teacher development, and effective implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum, noting that these areas are key to improving learning outcomes.
After being elected Ojiambo reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to partnership and collaboration with ither stakeholders in the sector.
She welcomed the support from regional KPSA officials, stating that collective efforts will be essential in achieving meaningful progress.
“We appreciate the confidence expressed by branch officials like Rono. Our focus remains on working closely with all partners to ensure quality, equitable, and sustainable education for every learner,” said Ojiambo.
Ojiambo also pledged to strengthen engagement with stakeholders, enhance resource mobilization and support schools in navigating ongoing education reforms across the country.
She said the association would sensitize its members on the ongoing reforms.
