The beverage combines a sparkling taste with caffeine, positioning itself as a refreshing option for consumers seeking an energy boost during the day.

The company said the product is designed to deliver a bold and refreshing way to recharge.

“We are excited to introduce Charged to Kenya, offering consumers the fuel they need to maximize each day,” Monique Katana, the Director of Frontline Marketing Coca Cola Kenya said.

She added, “This launch highlights The Coca Cola Company’s dedication to innovation and our mission to provide a diverse range of beverages that meet the evolving tastes and lifestyles of our consumers.”

The launch is being supported by a nationwide activation campaign led by the company and its authorized bottler, Coca Cola Beverages Africa in Kenya.

The campaign will feature a series of consumer focused experiences including music, entertainment and product sampling, aimed at introducing the new drink to the market.

Through these activations, consumers will have the opportunity to experience the product firsthand, as the company seeks to build awareness and engagement around the new brand.

According to James Bowmaker, the General Manager Coca Cola Beverages Africa in Kenya, the drink is tailored to appeal to a younger demographic.

“Charged delivers bold new flavours designed to resonate with younger consumers offering a refreshing way to fuel their day,” he said.

The product’s packaging is designed to stand out on retail shelves.

It features a vibrant thunderbolt design, reflecting what the company describes as the drink’s bold and dynamic personality.

The visual identity is intended to reinforce the beverage’s energizing appeal and make it easily recognizable to consumers.

Charged is now available across Kenya in 330ml bottles and will be stocked in supermarkets, retail stores and other outlets nationwide, increasing accessibility for consumers in both urban and peri urban areas.

The company is also encouraging consumers to engage with the brand through its digital platforms, where they can access more information and updates about the product.

The launch underscores Coca Cola’s ongoing focus on innovation and market expansion in Kenya, as competition in the beverage sector continues to intensify.

With Charged, the company is betting on bold flavours and caffeine appeal to capture the attention of consumers looking for both refreshment and energy in a single drink.
