Consolata Wanjiru Mwaura, the mother of Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) and UDA Elections Board chairperson Anthony Mwaura, has died.
President William Samoei Ruto has condoled with the family, describing Mama Wanjiru as a devoted community leader.

Kenyans have condoled with the family, offering messages of comfort during the period of mourning.

In 2022, Ruto appointed the UDA National Elections Board chairperson as the Kenya Revenue Authority chairman.
He replaced Francis Muthaura, whose tenure had come to an end.
Muthaura was appointed in 2018 during former President Uhuru Kenyatta's tenure.
Prior to his appointment, Mwaura was the chairman of the Kenya Revenue Authority.
Messages of condolence continued to pour in from across the country as leaders and citizens expressed sympathy to the family during the mourning period.
