There was song and dance in Nairobi as members and supporters of the People’s Renaissance Movement (PRM) celebrated a major political milestone after the party attained full registration status.

The colourful ceremony took place at the offices of the Registrar of Political Parties at Lion Place, where party officials were formally handed the registration certificate, marking the movement’s official entry into Kenya’s political landscape.

Dozens of jubilant supporters accompanied party leaders for the occasion, donning the party’s blue and white colours, as chants and celebrations filled the venue following the announcement.

Party officials described the registration as a significant step toward offering Kenyans an alternative political platform anchored on integrity, accountability and inclusive development.

“The People’s Renaissance Movement is committed to transforming Kenya through people-centred policies, transparent governance, and inclusive development,” Interim Secretary General Emmanuel Sara Bhai said.

Speaking after the issuance of the certificate by the Registrar of Political Parties Bhai described the development as a significant step toward building a new political alternative for Kenyans.

“Today is just but a beginning. We have met all the qualifications, we have submitted all documents,” Bhai said, expressing confidence in the party’s readiness to participate in national politics.

“Today in broad daylight, the People’s Renaissance Movement has been issued with a certificate of full registration,” he added, noting that the process had been conducted transparently and in accordance with the law.

The PRM leadership said the party already commands a growing base, revealing that it has registered at least 50,000 members across the country. Bhai said the focus now shifts to expanding its reach and consolidating its presence nationwide.

“We have 50,000 members. We are going out there to ask Kenyans to join us,” he said.

He emphasised that the party is positioning itself as an inclusive platform that welcomes all Kenyans regardless of background, region or political affiliation.

“This is a party that is all inclusive,” Bhai stated.

Bhai called on citizens to rally behind the new political movement, saying it aims to provide leadership that prioritises national interests and development.

“Join us as we take the leadership of the country and drive Kenya in the right direction,” he urged.

Bhai also revealed that the party is preparing for its official public launch, which he said will outline its full leadership structure and policy agenda.

The party outlined its agenda as focusing on key sectors including the economy, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, with leaders promising to prioritise policies that directly impact citizens at the grassroots.

“We stand for integrity, service, and progress that benefits every citizen,” the statement added.

PRM leaders emphasised that the party’s structure has been built to ensure representation across all levels of governance, from the national leadership down to counties, constituencies, wards and polling stations.
