Tanzanian music star Marioo has publicly called on Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami to identify an unnamed artist who allegedly mistreated her during a high-budget video shoot.
The move comes days after Nadia shared a story about a professional disaster that cost her a fortune and left her in tears.
Marioo Pleads for Clarity
Although Nadia chose not to name the artist in the interview, fans began to speculate. Many pointed towards Marioo, given their past work together.
Marioo has now taken to his Instagram stories to defend his reputation. He urged Nadia to come out and say who troubled her, noting that the "burden" of the blame was beginning to weigh on him. He reminded his followers that he gave 100% effort to their 'Jipe' collaboration in 2020.

“Nadia Mukami, come and say who troubled you please, because I feel this burden is overwhelming me yet I gave myself 100% to your project in 2020,” he pleaded with her.
A Million Shilling Disaster
Speaking on a podcast hosted by fellow musician Maandy, Nadia Mukami revealed the details of her most difficult international project. The African Popstar explained that she invested nearly 1 million Kenyan Shillings into the Tanzanian-based production.
To keep costs down, Nadia and a six-person team travelled from Kenya to Tanzania by road.

The journey took roughly 14 hours. Her team included a video director and her management staff.
"I spent almost a million on that project, we travelled to Tanzania by road,” Nadia Mukami recalled.
Twelve Hours on the Beach
The production was scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM on a Tanzanian beach. While Nadia and her crew were ready on location, the featured artist failed to show up. Communication broke down as both the artist and their manager refused to answer phone calls for the entire day.
Nadia and her team waited for 12 hours in the heat. By the time the collaborator finally arrived at 7:00 PM, the singer was physically and emotionally exhausted.
"We sat on that beach waiting. My makeup melted and my hair was ruined. I cried. I literally cried... because of the money I had spent and the artist was not picking up the phone.”

The Midnight Ultimatum
The ordeal did not end once filming began. According to Nadia, there was no apology for the delay. Instead, the collaborator allegedly acted as if Nadia’s team was at fault.
At 3:00 AM, the situation took a stranger turn. Nadia claimed she was told she had to record a feature on one of the other artist's songs immediately. She was informed that if she did not comply, her own project would not be allowed to be released. She recorded the extra track simply to save her initial investment.
Nadia has stated she has moved on from the incident, but the pressure is mounting for her to clear the air for her fellow artists.
