However, he succumbed to his injuries the following day, April 5, while undergoing treatment.

Detectives launched investigations, recording witness statements that corroborated the assault allegations against the club’s security personnel.

Police have since arrested nine employees of the club, along with the manager, who are being processed on suspicion of being accessories after the fact to murder and conspiracy to commit a felony.

The main suspect remains at large, with authorities appealing for information that could lead to his arrest.

The body of the deceased is currently lying at the Kenyatta National Hospital mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination as investigations continue.

Meanwhile, police in Isiolo county have launched investigations into a fatal shooting incident that left one man dead and another missing in a suspected attack by unknown assailants.

The incident is believed to have occurred on April 10, 2026, in a bushy area near Mlango.

The report indicates that two men, identified as charcoal burners, were ambushed by armed attackers who opened fire on them. One of the victims, Julius Naato, sustained fatal gunshot injuries during the attack.

The second man managed to escape and run for safety.
However, his current whereabouts remain unknown, and efforts to reach him via phone have been unsuccessful.

Police say a search operation to locate the deceased’s body and trace the missing survivor will commence during daylight hours, with multi-agency teams expected to visit and process the scene.

Authorities have not yet established the motive behind the attack, and investigations are ongoing.

In a different incident, a middle-aged man was found dead in a rented house at Makutano Shopping Centre in Mwea Sub-County, Embu County, in an incident reported on April 10, 2026.

According to police, the man, identified as David Njine and believed to be about 50 years old, was discovered lying naked and supine on the floor of his single-room house.

The door to the house was found ajar at the time.

Police officers who visited the scene noted that the body was covered with rags and had no visible physical injuries.

The immediate cause of death could not be established.

Preliminary information indicates that the deceased had been living alone and had been unwell since 2025, undergoing treatment for an unspecified illness.

Authorities are yet to trace his close relatives, though it is believed he hails from Kirinyaga County, near the Samson Corner area.

The body was moved to Embu Level Five Hospital mortuary, where a postmortem examination is expected to determine the cause of death.
