"This afternoon at Wamunyoro Residence, I had the privilege of engaging with some incredible TikTokers. I asked them to take charge of mobilising voter registration through the NIKO KADI initiative," he said.
Gachagua emphasised the critical role of youth in shaping Kenya’s political future.
He encouraged them to leverage their platforms and creativity to mobilise young voters through the “NIKO KADI” initiative, a campaign aimed at registering many young Kenyans.

The Democracy for Citizens (DCP) leader, accompanied by his spouse, Reverend Dorcas Gachagua, and their sons, Keith and Kelvin, painted Nyeri Town in DCP’s white and green colours as they marched to the Nyeri Town Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices.
There, he verified his voter registration details and updated his biometrics.
After completing the process at the IEBC offices, Gachagua addressed the media on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
He said the purpose of his action was to support Gen Zs in sustaining their push for good governance, a movement that began in 2024, and to channel it effectively through the ballot.
He further urged youths to turn out in large numbers and register as voters.
The 'Tuko Kadi' Gen-Z movement has become a rallying call for young Kenyans to obtain their voter registration cards.
The trend, initiated by Ademba Allans, a young journalism student, became an online sensation, encouraging youths to register as voters ahead of the 2027 elections and be part of shifting the nation's governance.
Young citizens have since turned up in large numbers to various polling stations.
