Detectives based in Athi River are investigating the suspected murder of a house help whose body was found in a shop in the Whistling Moran area.

The woman, identified as Precious Kanari, 25, had reportedly been missing since Friday, March 20, before her body was discovered two days later.

The body is reported to have had stab wounds when it was found covered with sacks and placed on shelves in a grocery shop.

An attendant who had been taking care of the shop was reported missing, with police indicating he is a person of interest.

The owners of the shop told police they had left it under the care of a worker and, upon returning on Sunday, found it in disarray.
