Principal Secretary for Medical Services Ouma Oluga hosted development partners and stakeholders to a dinner in Mombasa during the ongoing Health Integration Summit, acknowledging their role in supporting the organisation and delivery of the event.
The gathering brought together development partners, implementing agencies and health sector stakeholders who have contributed to the planning and success of the summit.
The engagement underscored the importance of collaboration in strengthening Kenya’s health system through integrated and people-centred approaches.

According to organisers, the summit has attracted significantly higher participation than initially anticipated, signalling strong interest among stakeholders in advancing health system reforms.
Participation at the event rose sharply from the projected 500 delegates to more than 900 attendees, reflecting growing commitment from health professionals, policymakers and partners toward improving coordination and integration across healthcare services.
Officials noted that the strong turnout demonstrates increasing recognition of the need for partnerships in addressing health system challenges and enhancing service delivery.

Oluga said the involvement of development partners and implementing agencies remains critical in supporting government efforts to build a more responsive and integrated healthcare system capable of meeting the needs of citizens.
Also present at the dinner were James Ntabo, Secretary Administration at the Ministry of Health, and Andrew Mulwa, Chief Executive Officer of National AIDS and STI Control Programme (NASCOP), alongside other senior ministry officials.
The Health Integration Summit has provided a platform for dialogue among policymakers, healthcare professionals and development partners on strategies to strengthen coordination, improve service delivery and accelerate progress toward a more integrated national health system.
