President William Ruto on Tuesday handed over keys to over 200 beneficiaries of the Affordable Housing Project in Milimani Estate, Kakamega.
The President said that through the project, the government continues to prove the naysayers wrong, those who once doubted the viability and impact of the programmes, as tangible results become increasingly evident.
He said the change that the government promised is no longer a distant aspiration; it is unfolding right before Kenyans' eyes.
The President also laid the foundation stone for the second phase of the project, delivering 1,891 units for Sh5.2 billion.
Ruto said the move is a step in expanding access to decent housing and creating meaningful job opportunities for the youth.

“Some of them have occupied positions of influence for over four decades; they must answer for what they have done with that time.”
The President commissioned the Shirugu Water Supply and Sanitation Project, one of a cluster of transformative water initiatives we launched in Malava Constituency in 2024, aimed at expanding access to clean and reliable water for our communities.
