Nairobi has in recent weeks experienced heavy rainfall that has triggered flash floods in several neighbourhoods, displacing residents and disrupting daily activities in low-lying areas.

Government officials say relief efforts are ongoing as authorities continue assessing the impact of the flooding and identifying households in need of assistance.

Residents who received the aid welcomed the intervention, saying it would help families cope with the immediate effects of the floods as they begin rebuilding their livelihoods.
