Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno was finally laid to rest Saturday at his rural home in Mogondo, Emurua Dikirr, bringing to a close an emotional farewell to the legislator who served his constituency with passion and dedication.
Family members, friends, and leaders from across the country gathered to pay their last respects to the late MP, whose life was cut short in a helicopter crash in Nandi County on February 28.

The burial ceremony was marked by prayer, reflection, and moving tributes as mourners remembered Ngeno as a devoted leader, a family man, and a champion of community development.
President William Ruto, his deputy Kithure Kindiki and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula were among the national leaders who attended the funeral, joining thousands of residents who turned up to bid farewell to the outspoken lawmaker.

As the casket was lowered into the grave, a sombre mood engulfed the gathering, with many reflecting on the fleeting nature of life.
For the family, the moment marked the painful end of a journey that had drawn the nation’s attention for days, from memorial services to the final send-off.
Though gone at 53, Ngeno leaves behind a legacy of leadership and service that many in Emurua Dikirr say will be remembered for years to come.
