Chopper crashes, bursts into flames in Nandi

Six people have died after a helicopter crashed in Chepkiep, Mosop Constituency, Nandi County.

The aircraft is reported to have attempted an emergency landing before bursting into flames.

Emergency response teams are at the scene, and the identities of those on board have yet to be confirmed.

Senator Samson Cherargei and MP Julius Melly have arrived at the crash site alongside officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to assess the situation. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
