Kenyan comedian Professor Hamo has sparked an intense online debate after claiming that marital infidelity is the quickest way for a man to lose his wealth.
The popular entertainer, known for his storytelling and comedic timing, took to social media to share a stern warning with his married followers about the financial risks of straying.
A ‘3D’ Financial Warning
In a blunt post, the comedian suggested that the consequences of cheating are not just emotional but deeply economic.

“If you are married, the shortest route to poverty is cheating on your wife,” Hamo stated.
He further emphasised the severity of the situation, warning that in such cases, financial ruin would manifest in 3D.
"Hapa poverty will come to you in 3D."
‘Exceeding Expectations’ in Life Lessons
Professor Hamo did not shy away from his own history when posting the advice. Responding to his own thread, he jokingly referred to himself as a "Professor" who has already sat this particular life exam.
He claimed that he did not just pass the test of experiencing these consequences, but did so withExceeding Expectation passmark.

Fellow comedians were quick to join the conversation. Dr Ofweneke teased Hamo, suggesting that a topic related to "Oreo" would soon start trending because of the post.
Meanwhile, Terence Creative encouraged the comedian to share more of his "academic" insights into the matter.

Public Backlash and ‘Oreo’ Receipts
However, the post was met with a wave of scepticism from social media users. Many were quick to bring up the comedian’s own past marital controversies.
One user, @Kayline51, warned that his children would eventually grow up and read these posts. She suggested he should have considered the consequences before his own past actions.
Another follower, @charitywainaina, pointedly mentioned a "nyumba ndogo" (a term for a second wife or mistress) and the arrival of a "3rd born" in relation to "Oreo."
The comment section became a space for users to remind the comedian of his previous scandals, with one user accusing him of preaching water when drinking wine.
The Backstory: A Public Fallout
Professor Hamo rose to fame on the Churchill Show. His "3D poverty" comments come years after a highly publicised scandal involving fellow comedian Jemutai.
In 2021, Jemutai accused Hamo of being a "deadbeat father" to their two children. The drama unfolded across social media, involving DNA tests and public interventions by industry mentors.
