Deputy President Kithire Kindiki described Ng’eno as “a fearless man, courageous leader and a committed member of our party."

He said the late Ngeno loved Kenya and deeply cherished his heritage.

"It is incredibly difficult to come to terms with this sudden loss of a great son of our nation. May his memory last forever, and his soul find peace in eternity," he said.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua recalled his close friendship with Ng’eno.

He said Ng’eno "was my very great friend who faced threats and intimidation. We remained the best of friends up to his death. He had a great future as the leader of the Kipsigis community and his death has robbed the community of a great leader."

He also called for thorough and speedy investigations into the cause of the crash that must be made public.

Former Bomet Governor and Judicial Service Commissioner Isaac Rutto described the loss as “hard to take… Our hearts are deeply heavy Konyoon…”

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen expressed profound grief, noting he has known Ng’eno since they first joined Parliament together in 2013, as a dedicated public servant.

He said he represented his constituents with passion and courage and always spoke his mind without fear.

"He was also instrumental in empowerment programmes across the country, particularly for artistes, a cause he pursued to the very end. My deepest condolences to the family, friends, and the people of Emurua Dikirr. May God rest the souls of all those who perished in the crash," said Murkomen.

Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot called Ng’eno “a true son of the soil who gave his all for his constituents and the country at large… May the God of comfort provide light in this season of darkness. Fare thee well brother, from the Almighty we came, and to Him shall we all return.”

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Ronald Karauri also paid tribute.

Sifuna said, “It’s one of those days. There isn’t much to say that will make sense of what has happened. Poleni sana to the family, friends, and constituents of Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno and all those on board that chopper.”

Karauri described him as a dedicated leader and three-term Member of Parliament since 2013, who chaired the Departmental Committee on Housing, Urban Planning & Public Works, where we served together and witnessed his unwavering commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment.

"His legacy as a symbol of defiance against injustice will endure. May God grant strength to all who mourn, and may his soul rest in eternal peace," he said.

Gideon Moi said: "It is indeed a deeply sad evening for Kenya, and especially for the people of Emurua Dikirr, following the passing of my friend and compatriot, Hon. Johanna Ngeno. If there was a paragon of courage and conviction, then it was Hon. Ngeno. He was a rare breed of leader who said what he meant and meant what he said. He spoke his mind with clarity and stood firmly by his word. When it came to defending his constituents, he never wavered. Whether you agreed with him or not, his sincerity or boldness was unquestionable. As a young and fiery legislator, Hon. Ngeno had his whole life ahead of him. Yet, as is the destiny of every mortal soul, Hon. Johanna Ngong Ngeno Ole Kisiara has gone before us."

Treasury CS John Mbadi has said, "Shocking to learn the painful & untimely death of MP Hon. Johana Ng'eno. Death has robbed the country bold visionary leader, shrewd debater & strong defender for social justice. May God grant his family & entire Emurua Dikirr peace & comfort."
