President William Ruto has expressed satisfaction with the progress of construction works at the Bomas International Convention Complex (BICC) in Nairobi.

Ruto described the project as a major step in positioning the capital as Africa’s leading hub for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).

The state-of-the-art facility is designed to host thousands of delegates, significantly boosting Kenya’s profile in global tourism and international conferencing.

The expansive development will also include three hotels, a shopping mall and an amphitheatre, creating a fully integrated destination for global events and business tourism.

Upon completion, the complex will accommodate up to 11,000 delegates across 35 meeting halls and rooms, with the main conference hall seating 3,000 participants.

More than 2,500 workers are currently on site, working round the clock to deliver the project.
