President William
Ruto has visited Kangemi, where he inspected ongoing affordable housing
projects and addressed residents on his administration’s development agenda.
The President disclosed that the houses being constructed are not
funded through new borrowing, reiterating his pledge to avoid additional debt.
“All the houses we have built are not as a result of
acquiring debt. I promised and will ensure that no more debt is acquired. We
will live within our means,” Ruto said.
He noted that he was going to launch new classes in a school in Kangemi.

He added that in Nairobi, 314 classrooms have been built,
while Members of Parliament have constructed more than 500 classrooms to
support education.
Ruto reaffirmed that the government’s focus remains on strengthening
the economy, improving education, enhancing job opportunities and ensuring food
security, despite criticism from opponents.
He was accompanied by Langata MP Phelix Odiwuor, famously know as Jalang'o.
