20 schools and clubs will grace the Private and International Prep Schools Sports Association(PIPSAA) Kenya inter-county sports tournament slated for March 7 at St Christopher's School in Laikipia.

The confirmed schools are Nova Pioneer, Potterhouse School, Riara School, Three Rivers, Ripples International, Highlands Schools, Foresight Academy, Makini and Runda.

Others include Kitengela International, Nyahururu elite,  Braeburn , Milbrook and Meru Aquatics.

This year's edition will feature a rich mix of disciplines including; swimming, basketball chess , soccer, taekwondo and skating, offering young athletes a global style multi -sport platform rarely seen at the preparatory school level.

St Christopher's director Bernard Mathu confirmed that the host venue is fully primed for the occasion.

“This tournament plays a crucial role in identifying and nurturing young talent these are future and national, and international stars," he said.

Mathu underscored the tournament’s deeper purpose, talent identification and long-term athlete development.

"This is about giving our athletes an experience they will never forget. We want fair and healthy competition, we want parents, coaches and swimmers to enjoy the moment” he noted.

Beyond the arenas of competition, visiting teams will also savour the scenic charm of Nanyuki, from the world-renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy to the iconic Equator crossing point and the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kenya.

Mathu described the meet as a seamless fusion of competitive sport and sports tourism, a blend that continues to elevate its stature on the regional sporting calendar.

In further testament to its growing reputation, St Christopher’s School has also been selected to host the Kenya Aquatics National Junior Swimming Championships in August.

PIPSAA Kenya Chief Executive Officer Fidel Juma welcomed all participating teams and reaffirmed the association’s mission to promote sportsmanship, discipline and structured talent development among young athletes.

The tournament is expected to be officially launched by Laikipia governor Joshua Irungu.
