Gladys Kwamboka will be the star attraction for the final leg of Betika BingwaFest Season Two, set for Friday at Shanzu Teachers’ Training College. Kwamboka will compete in the 5,000m and 10,000m races, alongside Mary Munanu, an Ostrava Golden Marathon competitor, while Japan-based Wilson Lemangale will headline the men’s races.

Fresh from victory in the 2km loop at the Sirikwa Cross Country, Naomi Korir will contest the 400m, 800m, 1,500m, and 5,000m races, adding depth to an already star-studded athletics lineup.

Prize money remains a strong draw for competitors. In the 10,000m, the gold medalist will receive Sh300,000, with the first and second runners-up pocketing Sh250,000 and Sh200,000.

The fourth and fifth-placed finishers will take home Sh100,000 and Sh75,000. For the 5,000m, top prizes range from Sh250,000 for first down to Sh30,000 for fifth, while medals in shorter races – 100m, 400m, 800m, and 1,500m – come with Sh150,000 for gold, Sh100,000 for silver, and Sh60,000 for bronze. Fourth and fifth places receive Sh30,000 and Sh20,000, respectively.

Football also resumes, with defending champions Bandari Youth and KNCP Queens aiming to defend their crowns. Both sides opened the season with draws: Bandari held Simba Apparel to a goalless stalemate, while KNCP battled Blue Sea Ladies to a thrilling 3–3 draw.
