Speaking during a stopover where he acknowledged greetings from residents, Kindiki announced that construction of facilities to upgrade Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital to Level 6 status has commenced for Sh1 billion.

He noted that the road works, alongside other flagship projects, are expected to stimulate economic activity and create employment opportunities for young people.

Kindiki emphasised that the government is prioritising infrastructure and health investments to spur growth in Meru and the wider Mount Kenya region.
